Trading Cards

This was taken in my living room. I'm holding Madonna's 'Like A Virgin' on the Sire label. Awesome album cover, by the way. The 2008 version!
Are you beginning to see a theme here with these cards? Can you say; Sex, Bikes and Rock n Roll? This was taken on the Champs-Elysées in Paris about 3 hours before Lance Armstrong won his sixth Tour de France - photo by Doug Sovern
A lot of people helped me on this one. Pat Johnson did the photography again, Skott Bennett created the 'W' logo, and Greg Wilker photoshopped the whole thing. Thanks guys. Also let's not forget the original Superman, the greatest of all. A Classic Rock Jock!
A new hairdo arrived about the same time as my conviction for being a Badass Bonehead. I photoshopped the 2 signs myself and Calvin Klein provided the wife-beater shirt. I really am 6'5''......really. Photo by Pat Johnson. Approximately every three years I seem to get my bike in there somehow. This caricature was expertly done by Karen Fulk of Sacramento. Check out the Bone earring and Bone handlebar ends.
2000 - Here's my second Y2K card. Hey, when they change formats, you gotta get a new card. 2000 - Here's my first Y2K card before we changed to The BONE. In matching tie-dye, that's one of my Golden Retrievers, "Sparkle". She's a little bigger now. Her mother, "Misty", and her sister, "Ozzy", also live with me.
1999 - This is me at a mountain bike race in Park City, Utah. Don't worry; I didn't win. I usually do 6-7 races a year. 1998 - Although I worked at KSAN before they went country, this was my first year back doing afternoon drive and playing rock & roll classics. This photo was taken at the SOUTH end of the Golden Gate Bridge.
1996 - Here I am with my mountain bike. This was the year I first did the California AIDS Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. In the middle of the first-ever live radio broadcast from a bicycle, they pulled the plug on KRQR and switched to Alice. Bummer. 1995 - It's the "retro-crooner" look for this black & white shot. I think this is where Mark & Brian came in, so I was back on middays at The Rocker.
1994 - This is when I first started riding (hey, you gotta start somewhere) and, in my 10th year at KRQR, I was doing the "Weed In the Morning" show. 1993 - I was still doing middays at The Rocker, serving up a Smokin' Hot Lunch when this studio photo was taken. I remember playing Aerosmith's "Eat the Rich" all the time.
1992 - This photo was taken somewhere between Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf here in the city by my old pal, Billy Steel. That's his guitar, too. 1991 - This one was taken at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge when I was doing middays at The Rocker, KRQR. I think that's the year I interviewed David Lee Roth. Nice guy.
1990 - Don't ask me what happened between 1971 and 1990, but I WAS working in radio, and this picture was taken at Sand Dollar Beach near Pacific Valley, south of Big Sur, California. 1971 - This is my limited edition rookie card from back in the day. Taken at my first radio station, KLRB Carmel-By-The-Seaweed, this photo could one day be worth thousands of dollars. OK, maybe not.
