ABOUT JAEGER...
"I grew up in Petaluma and Santa Rosa. There's not much to say about my youth, other than that it basically consisted of a lot of loud rock 'n' roll and stupid behavior (how that's different from my life right now, I don't know). After high school I attended Santa Rosa Jr. College, where I figured out that radio was a viable career option, and San Francisco State University, where I got my BA in Radio and Television. "
"While I was at SF State, I started working at a certain San Francisco alternative rock station as a member of their promotions team; you know, passing out stickers at concerts, etc. From there, I worked my way up to an on-air position doing overnights, and then weekends. I spent 3 years on-air there. I've got to say, though, that alternative music was never really my thing. Sure, I dig a lot of the music, but I was always a bit too much of a rocker. What can I say? Straight-ahead, balls-out, rock 'n' roll and metal is my first, and only love. So, when I got the chance to work at The Bone, playing REAL rock music, I jumped on it!"
"So here I am, on the air at 107.7 The Bone, letting my rock-balls hang out (as Dave Grohl would say) every weekend, and filling in for Steven, Nikki, and Joe when they're out, playing my favorite bands, and loving every second of it. "
"One of the best parts of my job, though, is you Boneheads. You are a great group of listeners. It's a big ol' rock 'n' roll community that I'm proud to be a part of. I always dig meeting you guys at events, talking to you on The Bone studio line, or getting those e-mails, so hit me up."
"Oh, and just to save some time, here are the answers to the two most common questions I always receive from anyone who meets me."
Q. How tall are you? A. 6'6"
Q. Jaeger, like Jagermeister? Is that your real name? A. Yes, it's my real name. No, it's not like the booze; notice the difference in spelling. They're J-a-g-e-r. I'm J-a-e-g-e-r. They're German. I'm Danish. Similar languages, different countries. Not that I won't join you for a shot at the bar, though. Just be prepared for it. Jaeger + Jager = Bad-craziness.
Life on 10! (and make 10 that much louder)
