FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This online auction is subject to all federal, state, and local
laws, and is void where prohibited by law. No purchase is necessary
to make an online bid.
Am I eligible to bid?
This is open to registered Boneheads who are legal residents of
the United States, are 21 years of age or older, reside in one of
the nine Bay Area counties (consisting of: Sonoma, Napa, Marin,
San Francisco, San Mateo, San Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and Solano
counties), have a valid California Class C Driver’s License
and can obtain automobile insurance in amounts required by law.
Employees and immediate family members of employees of Cumulus
Radio, KSAN/107.7 The Bone, Anheuser-Busch, Infineon Raceway, NHRA,
their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies
are not eligible to participate.
What am I bidding on?
Top bidder will receive:
- The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to race Brandon Bernstein,
son of the legendary Kenny Bernstein and Top Fuel's former Rookie
of the Year at the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals at
Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, July 25-27, 2008
- Four NHRA tickets for Saturday, July 26
- Budweiser/Brandon Bernstein jacket, t-shirt and cap
The second highest bidder will receive four NHRA tickets for Saturday,
and a Budweiser/Brandon Bernstein t-shirt and cap. Other top bidders
will receive pairs of NHRA tickets.
How do I place a bid?
If you are at least 21 years old and a registered Bonehead, you
may go to the bottom of this page and enter your bid. If you are
not yet a registered Bonehead, please click
here and register as a new member.
The bidding on this online item has a specific closing time: 11:59pm,
Monday, July 21, 2008. You should check back often to see what the
current high bid is. You should remain at your computer during the
final hour of the closing time to monitor the bidding process.
How is the winner determined?
The highest bidder wins. In the case of a tie, the bidder with the
earliest bid wins. The time stamp will be used to break a tie. All
decisions by the judges are final. If you are declared the winning
bidder, you will be contacted by e-mail and/or telephone.
Where does the money go to?
All proceeds benefit Children's Hospital Oakland.

Are there other restrictions or rules?
KSAN/107.7 The Bone reserves the right to make rule or auction changes
without notice at any time and reserve the right to change the aforementioned
date(s) without notice.
By participating in this auction, each bidder agrees to waive
any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss
of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result
of his or her participation in the auction or the use of any prize
and to release Cumulus Radio Corp., Radio Station KSAN, Anheuser
Busch, all sponsors and each of their respective directors, officers,
employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or
connected in any way with his or her participation in the auction,
even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness
on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.
KSAN/107.7 The Bone reserves the right to any video, audio, photographic
or print material involving the bidders for promotional use without
further permission or compensation. Bidders agree to participate
with KSAN/107.7 The Bone and their advertising agencies in publicizing
or broadcasting their names, prizes, and their picture or character
likeness without further compensation.
Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for other
prizes or for cash, except in the sole discretion of KSAN/107.7
The Bone.
High bidders are solely responsible for the payment of all expenses
and taxes associated with acceptance of the prize.
If, after the auction has begun, changes or updates to the rules
are made, the changes will be announced at approximately 7:30a.m.
on the day that the change is to take effect. In addition, an addendum
outlining the changes will be available in the station lobby.
The decisions of station management with regard to the awarding
of the prizes and the interpretation of these rules shall be final.
All bidders agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges and
these official rules.
KSAN/107.7 The Bone reserves the right to end the auction earlier
than the date listed or to extend the length of the auction.
KSAN/107.7 The Bone, in its sole discretion, reserves the right
to disqualify any person tampering with the bidding process or is
otherwise in violation of the rules.
KSAN/107.7 The Bone and all sponsors are not responsible for any
incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants
or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized
in the auction or by any technical or human error which may occur
in the entering of and/or processing of the auction. KSAN/107.7
The Bone and all sponsors assume no responsibility for any error,
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or
transport, theft or destruction or authorized access, or alteration
to, entries. If, for any reason, the auction is not capable of running
as planned or any other causes beyond the control of KSAN/107.7
The Bone and all sponsors which affect the administration, security,
fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, KSAN/107.7
The Bone and all sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion
to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.
Force Majeure: The failure of either KSAN/107.7 The Bone or sponsors
to comply with any provision of this Agreement due to an act of
God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, act of public enemies,
actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of either
(excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or
other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of this
Agreement.
