The 49ers have expressed to others that a deal for QB Alex Smith is effectively complete. I do not know the other team. KC and JAX are 2 teams that make sense - Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) February 24, 2013 It seems as though the San Francisco 49ers have a hand-shake agreement with a mystery team that would send QB Alex Smith out of the Bay Area. -The 49ers are no longer discussing him, and it appears that once the season officially starts on March, 12th he will be gone for good. -You have to wonder if Alex Smith even knows which team he's been traded too and fans of teams in need of a quarterback can wonder if it was their beloved team that decided to pull the trigger on him. -If I had to guess, I would say it was Jacksonville that snagged him. -The Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid seem pretty intrigued ...
