According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, there's no certainty that the San Francisco 49ers will once again place the franchise tag on safety Dashon Goldson this offseason.

Goldson has already made it clear he doesn't want to be tagged again, especially since he will only make $7.45 million in 2013 under the tag. -He's looking to finally cash in on his play over the past two seasons.
