According to his agent Carl Poston, former Green Bay Packers safety Charles Woodson is set to visit with the San Francisco 49ers Wednesday, reports NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Woodson has said his next stop will be playing for a contender, and San Fran certainly fits that bill.

Woodson was let go in February after seven years in Green Bay. Moving to San Francisco will enable him to be closer to his love of wine that began when he played for the Oakland Raiders. He owns a wine company in Napa. You can't make this stuff up.

Agent Carl Poston tells me Charles Woodson is visiting the #49ers tomorrow. He said he wanted to go to a contender.
