San Francisco's signal caller Colin Kaepernick is excited about the arrival of receiver Anquan Boldin.
With only Michael Crabtree as a viable option at wideout for the 49ers, Boldin brings a physical style that works with the 49ers offense.
San Francisco finished the year with Randy Moss at the number two receiver position, but his soft style of play didn't mesh well. Boldin adds another receiver willing to go over the middle, and adds toughness in the passing game.
-"We need another receiver," Kaepernick said, via Michael David Smith of Profootballtalk.com. "We have great receivers already, but he's another great addition. I think everybody saw what he's capable of this past year, what he did in the Super Bowl, so that's just another playmaker on our team."
"That's another great weapon for our offense, another great weapon for our team, and he'd be a great contributor."
