WishBone 2010

Make-A-Wish

Grand Hyatt San Francisco on Union Square

Shelby (one of the Wish kids) sings Don't Stop Believin' with
Jonathan Cain of Journey to celebrate reaching our goal!

WE DID IT!

Our first WishBone Roof-Sit Radiothon from atop the Grand Hyatt San Francisco raised

$500,000

for the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish chapter to help them grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.

We couldn't have done it without the help of our generous sponsors, cheerful volunteers, hard-working staff ... and of course, you - our family of Boneheads!  What else can we say?

THANK YOU!

Special thanks to our sponsors

Whether it was by calling in, texting, donating online, sending us a check, bidding in our auction or coming by to drop off cash - it all added up as you helped us make it across that finish line!

We can't thank enough, the warm and gracious management and staff at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco on Union Square, on the corner of Stockon and Post Streets.  We could not have done this without them!

We'd also like to thank:

  • Eddie MoneyJonathan Cain and Ross Valory of Journey, Eddie Money, Huey Lewis, Sammy Hagar, WWE legend Sgt. Slaughter, comedian Marc Maron, KRON-TV4 weatherman Mark Danon, chefs Roland Passot (La Folie) and Mark Dommen (One Market)
  • Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson, SF Giants outfielder Andres Torres, San Jose Sharks winger Ryane Clowe and Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley
  • All of the Wish kids and their family members
  • Our phone bank volunteers
  • Our sponsors - ATS Communications, Forward Funds, Macy's, Gap, Sports Basement, Levi Strauss & Co., Lucky/Save Mart Supermarkets, Sports Gallery, Comcast Sportsnet.

More about Make-A-Wish
Make-A-Wish is one of the most well known and respected charities in the world serving children with life-threatening medical conditions.  The Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which serves children in northern California (from Monterey to Oregon border). The local chapter has been awarded the Best In America Seal of Approval, a distinction to help potential contributors identify which organizations are among the top charities in the country.  Of the 1,000,000 charities in the United States today, fewer than 5 percent meet or exceed these standards, and of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this seal.
