SACKBOY RETURNS! For the fans of Little Big Planet 1, you most likely already have this game. For non-fans of the franchise who like challenging puzzle video games, what are you waiting for? Go out and get this game. Little Big Planet is the adventure of Sackboy as he makes his way through a world of weird machinery and gadgetry. Little Big Planet 2 is also one of the better non-shooting co-op games out there. If shooters aren’t your thing…here’s a must-have for your collection. Now, I had never played LBP 1, my girlfriend did…and the second this hit the shelves, she told me we needed to get it. What am I gonna say? No?

On the surface – it doesn’t look like there’s a whole lot to the Little Big Planet games, but that couldn’t be more wrong. In these games, you can customize your character, your ship...hell...you can even customize FULL LEVELS of play. LBP has one of the largest user generated level submission of any game that allows that function. There’s also a decent voice cast and some of the best “simple” graphics for a game that I’ve ever seen. Where LBP 2 really wins is the different levels that different people can enjoy the game. Some people forgo the story and just play the user generated levels, while others just go for the story.

The long and short of it – this is the ultimate family game. New gamers, to older gamers will love it on some level. Get the demo in the Playstation market and see if it’s for you. I enjoy solving the puzzles and trying to better myself in the prize challenges, while my girlfriend likes trying on every single outfit we find and looking for the perfect one. LBP 2 is a rich game with probably one of the highest replay value of any game out in the market today. Trust me - you won’t put it down anytime soon.
