Two Words...."Cakey Please!". Very few downloadable games inspire a review – but I can’t stay silent over Fat Princess. Downloadable on the Playstation 3 network – Fat Princess is basically “Capture the Flag” on steroids. This time around, the flag is a princess, and you can feed her cake to make her harder to carry. You can play online with friends/strangers, or you can play with by yourself, although – I would recommend playing with the online community – which is quite vast. The game offers multiple classes for your character – each class having certain benefits and drawbacks, but each class essential to pull off a win for your team. The graphics are great, and simple. The maps are well thought out and don’t offer any one team any distinct advantage, unless you know the complete in and out of that particular map.

You can customize your character (in the “Get Fabulous” section), unlocking certain colors/hairstyles when you reach a certain point total.  The voice over work is great from the cheesy character vocals to the Ian McKellen sounding narrator of the game, who after a quick loss, doesn’t mind informing you that you’re team has just been “pwned”.

Talk about addicting. I make time for Fat Princess. Friends have added me on the playstation network because we’ve had good games together. Games have lasted over 40 minutes or as quick as 2 minutes. Some games you’re a cog in a much bigger cooperative machine, other games you are the lone ranger.  The maps are fun and offer equal advantage to both teams.  Fat Princess is one of those games you can easily find yourself up until 3 in the morning playing because it’s just that much fun.  If you are looking for a cute, affordable, addicting time killer, FAT PRINCESS is definitely worth looking into.
