Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers prep live anthology, relaunch website

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers recently announced the launch of a new website and an upcoming live anthology that will feature performances originally recorded in concert between 1978 and 2007, according to a press release.

"The Live Anthology" will feature hits and classic original cuts as well as several of the band's favorite cover tunes. Among the covers will be The Grateful Dead's "Friend of the Devil," Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well," James Brown's "Good, Good Lovin,'" and Booker T. and the MGs' "Green Onions."

The anthology will be available in five configurations: Digital download; a four-disc, 48-track set; a deluxe box set; a seven-album vinyl box set; and something the band is calling the "Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Superhighway Tour." ... more
