LAW Live At The Milk Bar In San Francisco

One of Baby Huey’s new favorite bands that he discovered three years ago is LAW from Long Beach, CA. The band consists of singer Jakob Nowell (son of former Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell), guitarist Aidan Palacios, bassist Logun Spellacy and drummer Nick Aguilar.

After seeing LAW live for the first time at the Starry Plough in Berkeley in 2016, I knew this band was special and have made it a point to see them any time they are playing in the Bay Area. I saw LAW again at The Ritz in San Jose in December 2017 and most recently at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento back in October 2018. Every time I see LAW they get better and better from their stage presence to their new songs. LAW is the best band you need to discover.

Last week LAW did a mini tour up the west coast, including two Bay Area shows, last Thursday at The Ritz in San Jose and last Friday at the Milk Bar in San Francisco. I went to the Friday night show and had so much fun.

LAW’s latest album “There and Back Again” is out now.

“There and Back Again” is LAW’s debut studio LP. The 13 song album was recorded in Joshua Tree, CA at the renown Rancho de la Luna, where artists such as Iggy Pop, Josh Homme/Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey and Dave Grohl have all recorded. The album was produced with recording guru Dave Catching, who is also the guitarist of Eagles of Death Metal/earthlings?/Mojave Lords.
