Metallica plays stylistic national anthem at Giants game

SAN FRANCISCO–It was Metallica Night at AT&T Park on Monday evening, a night celebrating all things metal and, of course, all things Metallica. To kick off the night, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and lead singer James Hetfield came out and played a metal version of the National Anthem.

Bassist Robert Trujillo made an appearance as did legendary drummer Lars Ulrich who headed up to the broadcast booth to chat with Dave Flemming. Don’t worry if you missed out on Metallica Night as Metallica fans will be able to catch them this year when they headline Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park this Saturday on August 12th.
