Tonelli meets group of people who saved his life for the first time since incident

All of the sudden it seems a little dusty in here.

Six weeks ago Paul Tonelli was playing basketball at The Bay Club in downtown San Francisco when he grabbed a rebound, went up for a lay-up and fell to the floor with a chest “incident.” Immediately other Bay Club members snapped into action, running to the front desk to call 9-1-1.

Deb Hall was at the front desk, and ran to the gym. There, she performed chest compressions on Paul, who was turning a “pretty blue” color. Bob Young, who works at the Bay Club, used a defibrillator twice on Paul to help keep him alive until paramedics could get to the club.

Lamont & Tonelli invited Neal Grace, Ron Wilson & Paul McDonald, who were on the basketball court with Paul, on to their show Thursday morning. They also had Deb Hall and Bob Young join them later in the show. You can watch both interviews at the video at the top of this post.

On today’s episode of “The Second Shift” Baby Huey and Chasta talked about Tonelli’s Heart Show.
